Apple plans to revamp Siri into a full AI chatbot for iOS 27, code-named Campos, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and his sources. It would handle voice and text conversations, embedded right in your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Apple SVP Craig Federighi stated that he didn’t want Siri to be a chatbot, that Apple’s AI options should  be “integrated so it’s there within reach whenever you need it.” It seems the success of tools like ChatGPT pushed Apple to reconsider that position.
